One of our target customers had a critical failure of one of their main fire pumps. This pump is used to circulate sea water through the fire ring main that goes around the entire plant and protects people and assets in the unfortunate event of a fire.
Berg stepped up and designed a better product from better materials and still meet the very tight delivery schedule to help them get the fire protection system back online.
Another great example of the extra lengths Berg goes to assist our clients solve difficult problems.

Berg Engineering has the expertise and experience to recommend solutions for improving corrosion resistance.
Berg have recently provided this technical expertise to assist one of our clients on improving the corrosion resistance of their critical components.
The client is very happy with the progress, giving us more oppotunities to look at and contracting with us to do the next upgrade in two years time.

Last quarter a processing plant was faced with a difficult decision. An under-performing vertical cast cylinder was threatening to shut down a significant portion of their plant and the only apparent option was to have it repaired in Melbourne or Germany.
The rectification really needed to be completed within a week to maintain production and avoid expensive downtime. The site turned to Berg Engineering as the best option to manage the project.
The redesign and rebuild (pictured above) was completed within the tight time frame. The first production run has demonstrated the highest quality output from the press and the client is actively looking for more refurbishment work to undertake with Berg.

A major Queensland company recently turned to Berg Engineering to complete their main Turbine refit. The work required the Berg team to work side by side with a team of specialists from Canada around the clock.
The deadline was a four day turnaround to keep the station up and running. The deadline was met and the turbine refit was a success.
Customer feedback was the level of our professionalism and clear communication means that Berg will be given the opportunity to look at any of this type of mission critical work in the future.

An overseas customer in SE Asia has approached us to solve their supply issue in regards to various pumps. Spares for these pumps are no longer available and the performance does not meet their maintenance requirements.
Berg Engineering has been engaged to improve supply and performance of the equipment over the next few maintenance cycles.

Congratulations go yet again to Kerry Millard for a brillant effort in the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. This year was very successful. We finished 10th across the line at 7.20pm on Saturday night. An excellent result for one of the smallest boats in the fleet.

1st on IRC handicap division 2
-
2nd on performance handicap
-
3rd on overall IRC handicap
-
2nd in teams event along with the other two Gladstone boats, Wistari and Piranha
